The drawings and colour palette in this collection take their inspiration from the way clothes, jewellery and utensils used by this nomadic tribe were decorated. Strata refers to the many sedimentary rock layers that reveal their past thanks to what you find in them. Pieces of broken pot, fossils, minerals and crystals. Strata suggests all kinds of layers of earth, sometimes damp and shiny, sometimes dull and dry. Together these form a supple, moving wavy pattern. There are so many shades in this semi plain, which create movement and depth.
